Hola! Espero que hayan pasado una linda Navidad en compañía de sus seres queridos. Todavía nos falta la celebración de Año Nuevo, y el día de Reyes Magos el 6 de enero, no sé de donde seas y si en donde vives se celebra, pero aquí en México y tengo entendido en varios paises latinoamericanos se celebra bajo este nombre, de todas formas me gustaría saber como le llaman donde vives. En ese día se come la tradicional rosca de reyes (mmm pan, siempre una buena idea) y en algunas partes "Los Reyes magos te traen regalos" tal como lo hace Santa Claus, yo vivo en el norte de México así que aquí no es tan común recibir regalos de parte de los reyes, al menos no grandes, sino pequeños detallitos o dulces, siempre ha sido más de Santa Claus, pero en el centro y sur de mi país el 6 de enero es la fecha en que los niños reciben su regalo navideño. Yo soy feliz con el pan y el chocolate caliente.

Creo que debo mencionar que dentro de la rosca de reyes, se esconde una figura del niño Jesús, y si lo encuentras en tu rebanada de pan, te toca poner los tamales el 2 de febrero hahaha. Se dan cuenta como todas estas fiestas solo quieren que comamos? no tengo problema con eso hihi, es broma tiene todo un significado la celebración del Día de la Candelaria, pero esa es otra historia.

En fin, hablandode comer, si, me la he pasado comiendo mucho y viendo películas en Disney plus desde Navidad, digo, todavía estaré de vacaciones hasta el 18 de enero, una ventaja de ser maestra I guess.

Estoy divagando un poco pero no quería perder la oportunidad para compartirles estas fotos con mi cabello corto muy corto que ya quería tener desde hace tiempo, y era una buena excusa ya que todos siempre se hacen sus cambios de look para año nuevo, no que necesite una excusa para hacerlo, ya que mi impulsividad y aburrimiento siempre se desquitan con mi cabello, pero creí que era un buen momento para hacerlo. Mientras escribo esto, se me vienen a la mente 2 frases relacionadas con cortarse el cabello, la primera "una mujer que se corta el cabello está a punto de cambiar su vida” de Coco Chanel, no sé si mi vida vaya a cambiar por un corte de cabello, pero termina el 2020 (el peor año de nuestra vida) y porque no comenzar el nuevo con más optimismo? no es que vaya a cambiar mucho los primeros meses, pero seamos positivos.

Y la segunda, la cual no recuerdo exactamente "En las puntas del cabello atrapamos los sentimientos", que es algo parecido a otra frase que encontré en internet “La razón es que energéticamente, el cabello contiene muchas cosas. Tus emociones viejas, patrones, pensamientos y memorias, así como energía negativa…” so, supongo que al hacerlo de alguna forma nos sentimos como que estamos haciendo un cambio o avanzando y dejando cosas malas o tristes atrás? idk, pero está cool cambiar de look de vez en cuando y decir "goodbye old shity things, I want someting new" y seguir con tu vida.

[ENGLISH] Hello! I hope you had a nice Christmas in the company of your loved ones. We still need the New Year's celebration, and the Three Kings Day on January 6, I don't know where you are from and if you celebrate it, cause I believe the tradition changes all over the world, I'd love to know what they call it where you live tho, but here in Mexico and I understand in several Latin American countries this date is also celebrated under this name. On that day we eat the traditional rosca de reyes (mmm bread, always a good idea) and in some parts "The Three Kings/Wise Men bring you gifts" just like Santa Claus does, I live in northern Mexico so it's not so common to receive gifts from "The kings", at least not large ones, but small details or sweets, it has always been more from Santa Claus, but in the center and south of my country, January 6 is the date that children receive their holiday gift. I'm happy with the bread and hot chocolate.

I think I should mention that inside the "Rosca de Reyes", there's a figure of the baby Jesus hidden, and if you find it in your slice of bread, you have to bring the tamales on February 2 hahaha. Do you realize how all these parties just want us to eat? I dont have a problem with that hihi, just kidding, the celebration of Candlemas Day has a meaning, but that's another story.

Anyway, speaking of eating, yes, I've been eating a lot and watching movies on Disney plus since Christmas, I mean, I'll still be on vacation until January 18th, a positive thing of being a teacher I guess.

I digress a bit but I didn't want to miss the opportunity to share these photos with my very short short hair that I already wanted to have for a long time, and it was a good excuse since everyone always makes their "make over" for the new year, not that I need an excuse to do it, since my impulsiveness and boredom always take it out on my hair, but I thought it was a good time to do it. As I write this, 2 phrases related to cutting the hair come to mind, the first one "a woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life" by Coco Chanel, I don't know if my life will change for a haircut, but 2020 ends (the worst year of our life) and why not start the new one with more optimism? It is not that the first months will change much, but let's be positive.

And the second, which I don't remember exactly "At the ends of the hair we catch the feelings", which is something similar to another phrase I found on the internet "The reason is that energetically, hair contains many things. Your old emotions, patterns, thoughts and memories, as well as negative energy… ”so, I guess by doing so we somehow feel like we are making a change or moving forward and leaving bad or sad things behind? idk, but it's cool to change your look every now and then and say "goodbye old shity things, I want someting new" and get on with your life.
