¡Hola! Este post que les voy a compartir es de un lugar que realmente me encantó en la ciudad de Guadalajara. Como tengo muchas fotos, voy a dividirlo en dos partes, y en esta les voy a mostrar una de las exposiciones que pueden encontrar en este recinto.
Ya me habían comentado que este lugar era una visita obligada dentro de mi estancia en la ciudad. Este lugar sirvió como hogar de huérfanos de 1810 a 1980, y es por eso que también es conocido por el nombre "Hospicio Cabañas". En su interior se conservan algunos de los más importantes murales de José Clemente Orozco, pero ese se los voy a compartir en la segunda parte. La arquitectura del lugar es increíble y de hecho, fue declarado en 1997 Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco.
Hello! This post that I am going to share is from a place that I really loved in the city of Guadalajara. As I have many photos, I will divide it into two parts, and in this one I will show you one of the exhibitions that you can find in this place.
I had already been told that this place was a must see during my stay in the city. This place served as a home for orphans from 1810 to 1980, and that is why it is also known by the name "Hospicio Cabañas". Inside, some of the most important murals by José Clemente Orozco are preserved, but that I will share in the second part. The architecture of the place is incredible and in fact, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997.
Por el momento se encuentra una exposición de 84 obras entre textiles, esculturas, fotografías y tablas de estambre que representan a la comunidad wixárika. Los wixárikas o wixáricas, también se les conoce como "huicholes", y son un grupo étnico mayoritario del estado de Nayarit, en México. Esta colección es realmente un trabajo impresionante y nos permite conocer la riqueza que alberga los pueblos y culturas que tenemos en México. La exposición estará hasta el mes de Octubre.
At the moment there is an exhibition of 84 works including textiles, sculptures, photographs and Art made with yarn that represent the Wixárika community. The wixárikas or wixáricas, are also known as "Huicholes", and are a majority ethnic group of the state of Nayarit, in Mexico. This collection is really an impressive work and allows us to know the wealth of cultures that we have in Mexico. The exhibition will be until the month of October.
