Hola! Hoy les quiero recomendar algunos de los documentales sobre moda que pueden encontrar en Netflix. El fin de semana pasado me dedique a ver todos los documentales posibles, aunque obvio ya había visto algunos hace tiempo. Si son amantes de la moda los que esperan para verlos?!

Hello! Today I want to recommend some of the fashion documentaries you can find on Netflix. Last weekend I devoted myself to watch all the possible documentaries, although I had already seen some of them some time ago. If you are fashionistas, what are you waiting to watch them?!

En el número uno, tengo que poner "The September Issue", no solo por que soy mega fan de Anna Wintour (quién no lo es?) sino por que Vogue es una de las revistas de moda más reconocidas del mundo. Una de las publicaciones más importantes del año, es la edición de Septiembre, así que aquí podemos ver un "behind the scenes" de como se organiza la revista y se preparan los editoriales para este número. Es hermoso ver como se trabaja dentro de esta industria, definitivamente uno de mis documentales favoritos!
In number one, I have to put "The September Issue", not only because I'm a big fan of Anna Wintour (who isn't?) But because Vogue is one of the most recognized fashion magazines in the world. One of the most important publications of the year is the September edition, so here we can see a "behind the scenes" of how the magazine is organized and how the editorials are prepared for this issue. It is beautiful to see how everything works in this industry, definitely one of my favorite documentaries!
En segundo lugar, el documental del diseñador Manolo Blahnik, si son fans de la serie "Sex & the city" seguro que reconocen este nombre. En este documental nos cuenta como fue que se dedico al diseño de zapatos, cuando y donde abrió sus puertas la primera tienda. Algo más de lo que vemos ahí es, como es la realización de los famosos zapatos, el proceso del diseño desde el papel, hasta un recorrido dentro del taller donde se realizan, además platica un poco de su vida personal.
In place number 2, the documentary by designer Manolo Blahnik, if you are fans of the series "Sex & the city" you surely recognize this name. In this documentary he tells us how he was dedicated to the design of shoes, when and where the first store opened its doors. We can watch the realization of the tfhose amous shoes, the design process from the paper, to a tour inside the workshop where they are made, also talks about his personal life.
En el número 3, les quiero recomendar el documental de Zac Posen, diseñador que comenzó su carrera cuando era muy joven. Él junto con su familia comenzaron con este negocio familiar y tuvo un éxito enorme desde un principio, hasta que su carrera se derrumbo. No se preocupen! la historia no termina ahí, nos cuenta como hizo para volver a levantarse, lo cual me parece algo inspirador. Cuando uno tiene pasión por algo, no importa que tan mal nos pueda ir, nunca hay que rendirse y aquí un ejemplo.
In number 3, I want to recommend the documentary by Zac Posen, a designer who started his career when he was very young. He and his family started with this family business and had enormous success from the beginning, until his career collapsed. Don't worry! the story doesn't end there, he tells us how he did to get up again, which I find very inspiring. When you have a passion for something, it does not matter how bad you can go, you never have to give up and here is an example of it.
No por estar en el número 4, dejar de ser de mis documentales favoritos. El documental Franca: Chaos & Creation fue realizado nada más y nada menos que por su hijo! (que además está guapísimo!). Aquí podemos ver la historia personal de Franca Sozzani, gran icono de la moda, sus inicios y el momento en el que Vogue Italia se convirtió en la revista más famosa del mundo, todo gracias a las locas y atrevidas ideas de esta gran mujer.
Not because is number 4, it stop being one of my favorite documentaries. The documentary Franca: Chaos & Creation was made by none other than his son! (which btw he is gorgeous!). Here we can see the personal story of Franca Sozzani, great fashion icon, the beginning and the time that Vogue Italy became the world's most famous magazine, all thanks to the crazy and bold ideas of this great woman.
El número 5 es otro caso en el que un día uno puede estar en la cima, y al día siguiente sentir como todo se derrumba. Este diseñador paso por momentos muy dramáticos y terribles, pero supo seguir adelante y nunca se dio por vencido a pesar de las grandes dificultades que se le presentaron, y créanme que si fue difícil.
Este fue mi top 5 de documentales que pueden encontrar en netflix. Hay algunos otros como el de Iris (si te interesa la moda alocada y divertida), Jeremy Scott (Eres fan de Moschino y sus bolsas inspiradas en Mc Donalds) y Dries (diseñador que juega con textiles y estampados), que también les recomiendo ver. Creo que ver este tipo de material, al menos para alguien que le encanta la moda (como a mi), es muy inspirador. Hay muchos documentales que ver, pero estos son los que pueden encontrar en Netflix. Espero que les haya gustado este post!
This was my top 5 documentary that you can find on netflix. There are some others like Iris (if you're interested in crazy and fun fashion), Jeremy Scott (You're a fan of Moschino and his bags inspired by Mc Donalds) and Dries (designer who plays with textiles and prints), that I also recommend watching . I think that watching this type of material, at least for someone who loves fashion (like me), is very inspiring. There are many documentaries to watch, but these are the ones you can find on Netflix. I really hope you liked this post!
