Pasé la mañana organizando mi estantería de libros, y encontré este libro que tengo desde el 2013, talvez? Y es de una diseñadora mexicana, que de hecho nació en mi ciudad! eso me pareció super padre! El nombre del libro es "El manual de la diseñadora descalza" por Carla Fernández.
Este libro está lleno de hermosas fotografías y texto hablando un poco de la diseñadora, como nació su inspiración en la indumentaria indígena, como mezclando prendas con diseño indígena y su propia ropa creó su propio estilo y como es el proceso para realizar esta ropa. Pueden encontrar una descripción más explícita en el libro acerca de la indumentaria indígena, sus orígenes, la geometría del patronaje indígena, etc. Si te encanta la moda y todo lo relacionado con ella, te gustará este libro como me gustó a mi, pues conocí otra cara de la moda, y un lado más cerca de mi país, me encantó!
I spent the morning organizing my bookshelf, and I found this book that I have since 2013 maybe? Anyway, it's from and Mexican designer, she actually born in my city, which I found totally cool! The name of the book is "The barefoot designer: A handbook" by Carla Fernández.
It's full of beautiful photographs and text talking about the designer and her inspiration on indigenous garments, the mix she did with the indigenous and the couture to create her own style and how she found inspiration in the mexican culture. You can find an explicit description about the Indigenous garments, the making of and how everything is just about geometry. If you love fashion and everything related you'll love this books as much as I did, I met a different face of fashion, and closer to my country, I love it!
